Designated Workers are allowed to sign contracts or transactions. They are in the home country payroll and they cannot receive income from Peruvian sources.

ASSIGNED WORKER VISA / DESIGNATED WORKER VISA REQUIREMENTS

The Designated Worker Visa requires the existence of a service agreement between a foreign company, providing a service and a Peruvian company, receiving the service.

SHORT-TERM VISA VS LONG-TERM

Foreigners who come for a short period (less than one year) can request a short-term Worker Visa/ or short-term Work Permit. In this case they are not considered as residents.

Foreigners who come for a long-term and sign a work contract for a duration over one year can request a Resident Worker Visa or Work Permit. They will get a Resident card. As soon as they have their card, they will be able to request Family visa for their relatives.
