Effective 1 March 2019, the French government will implement stricter rules for intracorporate transfers (ICTs). Foreign employees being endorsed for the ICT cards will have to show that they have worked for this employer for a minimum of six months. Previously, only three months was necessary to become eligible.

A restriction period will also be put into place, meaning that after ICTs depart France at the expiration of their ICT card, they will then have to wait a minimum of six months before they are able to apply for a new ICT card.
