As of March 15th 2018, Argentina´s National Immigration Office has suspended all express appointments for applications for temporary residence cards or conversions to permanent resident status.

This measure, which is effective immediately, will imply there will be significant processing delays. It affects Mercosur nationals applying for Temporary Residence or Special Transitory Visas (24H). Booked express appointments will be cancelled as well.

The suspension of the Express Appointments system will mean that obtaining regular appointments will take approximately 6 months from the appointment request date. Non-Mercosur nationals may still be able to obtain regular appointments within a few days. Employers, whose employees may be affected, are advised to contact their immigration service provider for the latest appointment date estimates.
